New Joint Master’s programme

Biomedical Technologies and Analytics

Biomedical research is developing at a rapid pace and requires experts who can think beyond disciplinary boundaries. The new English-taught Joint Master’s programme in Biomedical Technologies and Analytics, run by the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Salzburg, combines biomedical expertise with technological and analytical skills. Students deepen their knowledge in areas including haematology, immunology, and molecular and cell biology, whilst engaging with the latest scientific methods and technologies.

There is no shortage of practical experience: work placements in the teaching laboratory, simulation software and laboratory training sessions enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge directly and gain valuable research experience. The empirically based Master’s thesis offers the opportunity to engage in-depth with current biomedical issues. Close collaboration with leading companies complements the academic training by providing insights into professional practice.

With its interdisciplinary, practice-oriented and international focus, the Master’s programme prepares students for a wide range of career paths in biomedical research, the pharmaceutical industry and the life sciences.
